Storing your legal documents safely, such as Wills and Powers of Attorney, is incredibly important, as the original is the only legally binding version of the document. Your original signature must be on the document to be legally binding and so a scan, photocopy or computer record are not sufficient. The original is your only Will and so must be kept safe.
We advise that you should never keep your Will at home. Accidents happen, and if you have a fire, flood or burglary you can risk losing your Will or damaging it, which could result in it being declared invalid.
Bridge Law has secure Wills storage available to keep these precious documents safe and ensure that they are easily accessible when it is needed.
